Trip for twinning

SLIGO TOWN TWINNING is organising a trip to Crozon in Brittany, France, to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of its twinning link with Sligo.

The friendship charter between the two towns was formed in 1979 and groups such as students, musicians, sports clubs, arts groups, etc., have exchanged visits on what is one of the longest and most successful twinning links in Ireland.

Crozon is a small coastal town with a rugged coastline, great beaches, sports clubs and friendly people.

Sligo Town Twinning is organising the week in Brittany and invites anyone interested in travelling as part of the contingent, whether individual, groups, etc., to make contact.

At present groups such as barbershop choirs and mountain bikers are planning to journey to Brittany.

A luxury coach is being organised and will travel from Sligo for the week to Crozon. It will provide transport for outings while in Brittany.

The group will travel from September 22nd to September 29th via ferry from Cork to Roscoff and will be accommodated with host families or in hotels, with activities to be arrange.

Ferry, cabin and bus costs are approximately €210 per person.
